The Government will consider a more effective methodology for calculating PIBien-être so as to understand the country’s economic development more clearly through the indicators that form part of PIBien-être . The Government will integrate PIBien-être into the political debate and will actively participate in the work undertaken at international level on well-being indicators.

This year’s budget included two additional pages presenting the PIBien-être (well-being indicator linked to the GDP). However, the indicators are controversial (air pollution by micro-particules for example was used as a basis for assessing the state of the environment and biodiversity, which is downright absurd).
