Strengthening hunting in terms of nature protection

As hunting plays a central role in protecting nature and biodiversity, regulating game populations and preventing damage caused by game, the government will strengthen collaboration with hunters and involve them in all important issues through working groups. In this way, the government will work with hunters to find solutions for better control of the game population. In this context, it will be analysed whether hunting with night vision goggles and extending the hours during which hunting is permitted can contribute to better control of the game population.

A hunting roundtable (Jagdtisch) took place, with all relevant stakeholders invited. Initial results are available, clearly outlining the current issues and proposing possible solutions. However, no decisions have been made and no measures have been implemented so far.
