In the mid-term, all single-use items should be avoided and, as far as possible, only recyclable products should be placed on the market. This is why the Government will continue to develop reusable systems for packaging at European level. By 2030, all plastic packaging must be designed to be reusable or recyclable. In addition, the Government will study the introduction of a ban on companies destroying unsold goods.

No concrete recent work in this regard is known. On the contrary, existing requirements in the new waste management law (obligation to use reusable solutions in the HoReCa sector) have been postponed, and the state does not appear to be working on any real alternatives.
