36. Improve public transport services
-
Excerpt from government statement
-
Bus
The Régime Général des Transports Routiers (RGTR) network will be the subject of an in-depth analysis with the aim of completely revising public transport timetables and better coordinating bus and train timetables. This analysis will be carried out in close collaboration with local stakeholders, including the local authorities.
Transport services in rural areas will be optimised and the frequency of regional lines serving stations will be increased.
The development of ‘bus on demand’ services will be encouraged throughout rural areas. Nightbus and nightrider services will be expanded.
The Government will carry out a complete review of specific public transport services, such as Adapto and Mobibus, to make them more reliable and efficient.
As far as possible, all bus stops will be covered.
