22. Acceleration of procedures for the expansion of renewable energies
-
Excerpt from government statement
-
The development of renewable energy is a national priority for the Government and must not be held back by complicated procedures. The approval times for sustainable energy projects will be considerably reduced.
Following the example of procedures at municipal level for photovoltaic installations, the Government will introduce the principle of tacit approval wherever possible. In addition, the Government will examine the possibility of abolishing the requirement for planning permission for photovoltaic installations on residential buildings.
Environment, biodiversity, climate and renewable energy
The Government will accelerate the deployment of renewable energies by mobilising massive investment. On the one hand, these energies will help us to achieve our national climate objectives, and on the other, they will reduce our dependence on third countries for energy imports. The government will identify and remove the obstacles to the rapid development of alternative energies.
