  • Adjustment of the 2023 Spatial Development Master Plan

The Government will revise and adapt the ‘Master Plan for Spatial Development 2023’ (PDAT 2023), taking into account the various opinions expressed during the public consultation.

The PDAT defines the country’s future spatial development guidelines for 2035 and 2050 by concentrating spatial development in the most appropriate locations, reducing the amount of artificial land and strengthening cross-border territorial cooperation. The Government will revise the PDAT, taking into account the various opinions expressed during the public consultation. Respect for communal autonomy and the search for dialogue with a view to reconciling development wishes with the objectives of the PDAT will be a priority. Cooperation will be improved by means of agreements to be concluded between the communal authorities and the state authorities.

The coordination of spatial planning policy will be guided by the sectoral plans and the National Mobility Plan 2025 (PNM) – under which the Government will draw up a list of priority infrastructure projects and a timetable for them.
